With the BOOKIT system, information concerning a reservation is effectively distributed to all the departments and personnel requiring it. The system handles vessel information, timetables, pricelists and information on land-based services. The reservation module can handle different types of bookings, as well as ticket, voucher and other travel document printouts. The check-in module handles the embarking and disembarking of passengers, and the back-office routines handles the follow-up procedures for each department, client and external supplier. Standard reports can be printed from the database and for special reports separate report generators are available. With the BOOKIT system it is also possible to connect to global booking systems, multimedia systems as well as the handling of bookings on the Internet.
