The Hotel Paris*****, a proud member of Concorde Hotels, Gold Privilege Class, is a significant cultural and historical landmark. The Hotel has been welcoming guests for almost a century and so the year of 2004 was a year of the 100yrs jubilee and grand celebrations including several gala affairs for all Hotel’s guests. Built in 1904 by well-known architect J. Vejrych, the Hotel has retained its splendid Art Nouveau features. Its interiors were designed by A. Pfeifer and the ceramic mosaics by J. Köhler. Before communists' era, the hotel functioned as the city's superintendent of traditional wealth. In 1984 the Hotel was declared a historical monument and deservedly then belongs among the most remarkable Prague sights. In 1991, after the “Velvet Revolution” when political system changed, in the restitution process the government returned the Hotel to its original owners, the Brandejs family. The Brandejs family has been in the hotel business for over 150 years. In 1997 the heirs of Mr. Brandejs restored the Hotel's original hallmark of early Art Nouveau.
